> recommendations on cleansing

Thanks to the fluorine treatment process of Aeria, it is generally possible to gently mop off a stain.

Clean off any dirt as soon as possible, before it dries and becomes harder to remove.

Do not rub the stain - use a mopping/dabbing action.

Should the soiled mark persist, apply one of the following recommended cleansing procedures:

  • for water-based liquids (tea, coffee, soda, wine...):
If the soiling substance has penetrated the blade material, apply a vacuum cleaner over the soiled area to remove any possible dust. Re-hydrate (dampen) the stain by dabbing with a wet, clean cloth with one hand, and drying the area using a dry, clean cloth with the other hand.
Should the soil mark still remain, repeat the cleaning procedure, this time using soap and water.

  • for oily types of soils:
Mop the soiled area gently using a soft cloth gently soaked in a dry cleaning solvent. Rub gently and continuously, ensuring that the soiled area remains in contact with a clean part of the cloth.

  • for soils like butter or ketchup:
First remove the solid soil with a spatula (spoon) and then apply the method recommended for oily types of soils.

  • for soils like: marker, pen, ink...
Mop the stain off gently with a cloth gently soaked in a solvent of the methylic alcohol type. Rub gently and continuously, ensuring that the soiled area remains in contact with a clean part of the cloth.
To avoid ring marks, always mop off from the outside towards the centre of the soiled area. Use a hair dryer very gently to expedite (quicken) the drying.
